1. What is the difference between a manufactured home vs. mobile home?
The term mobile home has not been used since June 1, 1976 when HUD changed the standards of how manufactured homes are built. In reality the phrases manufactured home and mobile home are equivalent.

2. What is the difference between manufactured home and a stick built home?
A manufactured home is built in a factory on an assembly line in a controlled environment where a stick built home is built on private land at the home site where the elements can effect construction of the home. With a manufactured home, there is no wind, rain, or weather damage because the homes are built indoors. They are built on steel frames and are assembled by a team of experts each having their specific job to do on your home. Manufactured homes are also built to a higher standard than stick built homes. HUD (manufactured homes) has stricter regulations than UBC code (stick built).

3. Can I customize my manufactured home to custom fit my needs?
YES! You will work with your sales agent and our sales manager to order your home with any changes and/or additional options.

4. How do I find land for my home?
Casa Blanca Homes can help you find the appropriate land for your home or the perfect park community that fits your style and needs. With owning your own land you own both the house and the land. If you move into a park community, you own your house but rent/lease the land your home is on. Many mobile home parks have added amenities such as a club house, pool, spa, etc.

5. How do I choose a manufactured home community?
Based on your needs and wants our agents will work with you to find the appropriate community.

6. How long until I get to move in?
From the day your home is ordered at the factory, it will take approximately 12 weeks to build, set-up and prepare your home for move in.

7. Is The HUD code less stringent than state or local building codes?
NO! HUD code is actually more stringent than state or local building codes.

8. How do I finance my home?
Our in-house financing department will work directly with lenders to find you the best deal possible. Whether you have great credit, bad credit, or have been turned down previously for a home loan we will try our best to find a way to make it happen for you. Of course, the larger the down payment, the lower your monthly mortgage payment.

9. What kind of tax advantages are there to owning a manufactured home?
In owning a manufactured home, you will be able to deduct your mortgage interest payments.
